Peduncle silk is such a fascinating yarn. This rich brown colour is the natural colour of the yarn; it's just the way the silkworm spins it. It's actually the little leg and foot of the cocoon, where the silkworm anchors itself before spinning. This 2-Ply 22/2 is particularly yummy. We suggest 24 as a sett for plain weave, but this yarn's slight bulk and "tooth" will allow a slightly looser sett.
